If you built with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, v0, or Replit, start security review with the application people can actually reach. A working interface can still publish a secret, load an outdated library, or connect to data with permissive access rules.
Start with what a visitor can see.
Review the HTML, JavaScript, and source maps delivered to a browser. Privileged credentials belong on a trusted server. Public configuration values can be intentional; what matters is their privilege and the access rules behind them.
A StackSnack surface scan checks public files, security headers, credential patterns, and identifiable library versions. Known package/version matches are checked against OSV. It does not execute your app in a browser or audit its private repository.
Choose the right depth of review.
| Question | Where to start |
|---|---|
| Did I publish a secret or a risky file? | Run an authorized public-file scan. Verify your site for deeper exposed-file checks. |
| Can an anonymous visitor read my database? | Review backend rules. StackSnack backend probes require separate operator approval of ownership. |
| Can one customer read another customer’s data? | Test with separate customer accounts and review authorization paths. The public scanner does not prove tenant isolation. |
| Is my whole app secure? | Combine automated checks with source/dependency review, role-based testing, and an independent assessment when needed. |
Turn a finding into a checked change.
Read the evidence, review the suggested fix, and test the change before publishing it. Builder prompts are a starting point for a reviewed change. After deployment, rescan and compare both findings and coverage; a failed or skipped check is not a clean bill of health.
Start with the AI app security checklist, learn about exposed API key detection, or use the guides for Lovable, Bolt.new, Supabase RLS, and Firebase rules.
Take a free scan before the next deploy.
Use a public web page you own or have explicit permission to test. Reports stay private to the creating browser. Scans, full reports and fix prompts are always free.
Start my security scan ↗Website verification enables deeper file checks. Backend tests need separate ownership approval. A clean result cannot guarantee security.
